Thank You Film & Music Lovers!

The 4th Annual Madeline Island Summer Film Series was our best year yet! We had beautiful weather, record attendance, and technical excellence (thanks to Neal Wallace of Event Pro and Paul Creager of the Square Lake Film & Music Festival). Our fabulous Button Babes (Amy Rogers Laing and Fran O'Brien Seiler) volunteered once more to make all feel welcome and appropriately doused in bug spray. Julie Stryker generously donated the use of her stage for our musicians. Jared Baribeau led the invaluable ground support at The Inn. Our friends at Aqueous Magazine co-sponsored our festivities on Saturday night. Alyssa Larsen baked the cookies, Deena Schuppe shared her natural insect repellant, Zoe Pizarro & Tim Grenier poured the libations, and Tom Nelson & crew hosted fun-filled after-parties all weekend long at the Burned Down Cafe.

Nothing would be possible without the vision and generosity of Susan & Bob Hartzell and La Pointe Center for the Arts.

We are THRILLED to make our first announcement about this summer's lineup!

HOW TO CHANGE THE WORLD is the story of the founders of Greenpeace. This feature documentary chronicles the adventures of an eclectic group of young pioneers – Canadian hippie journalists, photographers, musicians, scientists, and American draft dodgers – who set out to stop the atomic bomb tests in Amchitka, Alaska, and end up creating the worldwide green movement.

This award-winning film premiered at Sundance in January and continues to make the rounds of the world's premiere festivals.
